Biography
Joey is a passionate advocate with experience representing clients in cases involving wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, and insurance bad faith.
After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, Joey attended Seattle University School of Law where he graduated cum laude in 2022. During law school, Joey gained valuable courtroom experience as a Rule 9 intern with Snohomish County Public Defender Association where he represented juvenile respondents in various criminal proceedings. After placing in regional and national oral advocacy competitions as a law student, Joey was selected as a national member of The Order of Barristers. He passed the bar exam on his first attempt in July of 2022.
Prior to entering private practice, Joey served for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Cecily C. Hazelrigg of the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division I. Following his clerkship, Joey honed his litigation skills defending clients on a wide range of civil matters and has successfully obtained dismissals on both summary judgment and CR 12(b)(6) in favor of his clients. Joey is also a capable appellate attorney who has worked on multiple appeals and presented oral argument before the Washington State Court of Appeals.
